Participation in Targeted Services programs like excitED! is optional. The registration deadline is April 14, and enrollments will not be accepted after that date.

What curriculum is used for math and reading instruction?
For math, we will use Moving with Mat curriculum. For reading, we will use district-approved curriculum including Being a Reader, Being a Writer, Sonday System and Heggerty Phonemic Awareness.

Can my child attend only morning or afternoon? Can my student attend just one week?
excitED! has been intentionally designed as a well-rounded, integrated program. It is a choice-based program with limited space. Absenteeism is disruptive to the class and program. To help us build community and relationships and maximize learning, we ask that all students and families who register for a spot in this program commit to attendance all day, every day the program is in session.

Is lunch provided? What about breakfast?
We ask that students bring a lunch from home each day. Let us know on the registration form if you need help providing lunch for your student each day. Breakfast is not offered.

Can transportation be provided?
Bussing can be arranged when transportation is a barrier to participation. Students who qualify for transportation during the school year are allowed one consistent pickup location and one school year are allowed one consistent pickup location and one consistent dropoff location for the 8 days of excitED!. Bussing can also be provided for students who attend Kids Club before/after excitED! Let us know on the registration form if your student will need district transportation.
