Cancellations and Refunds

Most Community Ed programs are held in school buildings. If the school district closes due to bad weather, this affects all school related events, including Community Ed. We do not offer refunds for cancellations due to weather. Learn more about District School Closing information.

Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment expectations are cancelled two to three business days before class is scheduled to begin. If we cancel a class due to low enrollment, we will help you find another option or your tuition will be refunded in full. Please help us avoid cancellations: Register early!

• Cancel five or more business days prior to the start of class and you will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations received four to one business day before the start of a class will result in a credit slip.
• We cannot offer refunds or credits for cancellations received less than one business day before the start of a class. Notifications must be received by 4:00 pm on the business day before the start of the class. Business days are Mon - Fri, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Example: Notice for a camp starting on a Monday, must be received by 4:00 pm on the Friday before)
• We cannot offer refunds or credit slips on or after the first day of class. This includes illness.
• Credit slips can be used for any community education class. Credit slips do not expire.
• We do not pro-rate any classes or camps.

  • Call 952-848-3952 during business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm). You can also leave a message. If you leave a message, please let us know the participant's name, the course name, and a phone number where we can reach you if we have questions.

  • Stop by our office (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm).

• Schedule changes and contract cancellations require 10 business days notification. Requests must be made in writing to the Kids Club main office (ecc.kidsclub@edinaschools.org).
• For Non School Day cancellation, written notice must be received 10 business days or more before the date to receive partial credit ($15 fee). Without 10 business days notice, full payment is required.
• Your childcare account will be charged a $15 change fee per written request.
• Individual days can not be cancelled for credit.

Parents or caregivers arriving later than 5 minutes past the end of class will be charged $1 per minute. Payment is due at pick-up.

Children not picked up by their contract end time will incur a $15 late fee per day. Children picked up 15 minutes or more late will be charged an additional $1 per minute fee.
