Accommodations & Inclusion

children in our summer art camp

Inclusion means providing support to individuals with disabilities who want to participate in Community Ed programs.  A successful experience involves several steps. To ensure a positive experience and the accommodation of individual needs, please contact us at least two weeks before the program starts.

Learning Exchange

Learning Exchange provides lifelong learning and community involvement opportunities for adults with disabilities. Edina Community Education is proud to support Learning Exchange with our partners in Bloomington, Eden Prairie, and Richfield Community Education. Learning Exchange offers classes on topics including self-advocacy, personal leisure, and healthy lifestyles.

Hearing Impaired

If you need a sign language interpreter, note taker, or other accommodations to participate in Edina Community Ed classes for adults, call The Learning Exchange at 952-681-6121. VCO Hearing Impaired TTY/TDD users may contact us via the MN Relay 711 system or at 1-800-627-3529.

Adaptive Recreation

For residents of Edina, The City of Edina offers many adaptive recreation programs for adults with disabilities. Residents may also participate in opportunities available through the cities of Bloomington, Eden Prairie, and Richfield.
